 | Any computer with one of the listed Russian or Russian-adopted platforms - Windows 3.1 / 3.11 / 95 / 98 / 2000 / NT. |
 | An access to Internet. |
 | Terminal Installation Software - you can copy the files here - FREE! |
No special computers or additional software are necessary to operate Terminal. The only condition is that Windows platform should be Russian or Russian-adopted, because the Program Interface is in Russian, as well as all related documentation.

Of course you can, provided that your Notebook can be connected to Internet. Note, that there is no need of permanent on-line connection. You will only have to upload new requests and send your own ones on-line from time to time.
In case that your Notebook does not have connection to Internet but can get in touch with a stationary computer used as Terminal, you can install Terminal on your Notebook and use it to view incoming requests. All the data concerning requests is deposited in the database which, in case of necessity, can be easily copied from the stationary computer to your Notebook.

Yes, it is possible. You can install as many Terminals as necessary and wherever you need. You can also install additional ones or uninstall those out of use. Location of Terminals only depends on your decision: Terminal can be installed in another town or even abroad.

Yes, it is possible. Also, keep in mind, that the on-line session can be carried out just from one computer, all requests publishing on behalf of one certain Terminal even if they were entered from different computers. All Terminals in the local net work with the common database, at the same time special program inform of incoming requests. The only important condition to remember for proper work in the local net is that TCP/IP protocol should be available on all the computers even if these computers are not supposed to be used for on-line sessions with RVS.

If problems occur with starting up an installed Terminal, this may be due to one of the below reasons:
 | BDE Basic Kernel has not been installed. In this case you should copy Basic Kernel from here and install it on your computer. |
 | TCP/IP support which is necessary to get connection with Internet is not installed. This, most likely, means that your computer does not have an access to Internet. As TCP/IP is necessary to work on-line, you should contact your Internet provider and get all necessary recommendations. |
|
|
Even in case that BDE version 3.0 (or above) Basic Kernel is already installed on your computer, you should install BDE version 2.52 Basic Kernel. Both versions work independently without interfering with each other.

Terminal can work via proxy-server using standard SOCKS protocol. If Terminal cannot establish connection with TS Server via proxy-server, this probably means that SOCKS protocol is not installed (this protocol supports most of proxy-servers). One can also install an independent SOCKS server.
Another, more complicated, way to solve the problem consists of using re-direction. In this case your System Administrator should stay in touch with the Technical Support Service. Terminal uses port 12821 to get connected with RVS Server.
The most radical solution to the problem is to install a separate computer with an access to Internet out of the local net.
